Implantation Procedure

Medicap® 4.0 fiber implantation is a simple, safe and minimally invasive Outpatient Dermo Surgery for the solution of male and female pattern baldness or as a remedy for the unsightly effects of thinning hair and is performed thanks to the exclusive Automatic Medicap^® 4.0 Hair Implant System and the tools produced by Medicap^®. Medicap^® implant tools attach the reversible node of Medicap^® 4.0 by implanting the fibers, individually, inside the anesthetized scalp. This operation is painless, does not cause any discomfort perceived by the patient and can be repeated until the desired capillary density and type of thickening is reached.

Medicap’s ^® Biocompatible Artificial Hair 4.0 is similar to natural hair and meets any request for color, length (from 15 to 45 cm) and shape (straight, wavy, curly and afro).

800 – 1500 Hairs are implanted for each Implantation Session, in order to obtain a gradual aesthetic improvement.

Greater thickening is obtained with the implantation of Biocompatible 4.0 High Density Artificial Hair.

Once the implant is finished, the patient is able to immediately resume his social life with the expected look, thus deriving an immediate psychological benefit.

In the immediate post-implantation period, treatment involves taking local and systemic antibiotics for a few days according to the prescription of the doctor performing the implantation. The patient is also required to carry out delicate maneuvers during combing and washing so as not to superficialize the newly implanted hair, which will reach maximum fixation in 20-30 days.

After implantation, appropriate products must be used to treat the implanted hair, good hygiene and care of the implant must be maintained, as suggested by the doctor who performed the implant and comply with the instructions provided. The subsequent implantation sessions, if necessary to thicken the thinning area and remedy the unsightly effects of hair loss, are carried out on average after 5 weeks, in different areas of the scalp.

To maintain the Aesthetic Result obtained thanks to Medicap^® 4.0 Hair Implant System, medical protocols and scientific literature on the subject suggest proper scalp hygiene and periodic small implants.

The Medicap® Biocompatible Artificial Hair Implant 4.0 is used to treat cases, both male and female, of Generalized Thinning, as a Remedy for Androgenetic Alopecia (Baldness), for Scarring Alopecia and Burns, to increase the degree of thickening achieved with other Techniques and when an Immediate Aesthetic Result is needed.
